The accident happened at 10.30am this morning when a lorry collided with a car at the Ashfield Cross junction on the main Wexford to Rosslare road. There were four people travelling in the car, two children and their parents. One of the children, nine-month-old Katie Clarges, of Loughlinstown, Co Dublin, was killed and her brother, Connell (3), is in a critical condition. He has been transferred from Wexford General Hospital to Beaumount Hospital in Dublin. The childrens' parents, Paul and Grainne Clarges, are still in hospital in Wexford.
