The woman who lost her life in a three-vehicle pile-up on the Cork-Mallow road last weekend was named as Yvonne McCarthy, from Douglas in Cork city. Her six-year-old son was injured in the accident.

The funeral takes place today of Yvonne McCarthy, of Douglas in Cork city, who died following a three-car accident on the main Cork-Limerick Road on Friday night. Her six-year-old son, Turlough, was yesterday recovering after surgery on his arm which was injured in the horrific crash.
