19 year old Barry O'Keefe and
18 year old Evan Dick were killed when the car they were travelling on the
Charleville Bruree road in Co. Limerick went out of control and hit a tree. The
two apprentice electricians died in Limerick Regional Hospital from injuries
received when they were thrown through the windscreen of the car.

The death occurred of Evan
Dick son of the well known coursing judge Walter Dick who has officiated at the
Galbally Coursing fixture for many years. Evan died in a road traffic accident
and all coursing enthusiasts extend their sincere sympathy to Walter and his
wife Maura and other members of Evan's family.

Two teenagers died when the car in which they were travelling
apparently went out of control and hit a tree on the road between Bruree Co
Limerick and Charleville Co Cork on Friday night. The two young men, Barry John
O'Keeffe (19) of Cooleens, Charleville and Evan Dick (18) the Turretts,
Charleville, were thrown from the car by the impact. The teenagers who were
both apprentice electricians died at the Regional Hospital Limerick on Saturday
morning. Gardai at Bruff Co Limerick have appealed for witnesses to the double
tragedy.
