THE local community was shocked on hearing the sad news of Anthony Cooke, who was tragically killed as a result of a two-car collision near Daly's Cross, on Sunday. A native of Annagh, Anthony, aged 29, lived in Knocksentry, Lisnagry for the last few years. He was father of three-year-old daughter, Jordan. His family and partner, Audrey, are overcome with deep shock and sadness by the horrific accident. Anthony was a former pupil of Ahane Primary School and St. Joseph's College, Newport. Deepest sympathy has been extended to his father, Tony; mother, Mary; partner, Audrey; daughter, Jordan; brothers, Martin and Liam; sister, Rena, his relatives and many friends. There was a huge attendance at Anthony's removed from Meehan's Funeral Home, Newport to Ahane Church, on Tuesday last. Burial took place after Requiem Mass on Wednesday at Annagh Cemetery.
