The
two people who died in a crash in County Tipperary this morning have been
named. They were 20-year-old Karen Houlihan from Bengurrah Square in Cahir and
24-year-old Tate Croom-Carroll from Abbey Street in Cahir. They were passengers
in a van that went out of control and crashed into a wall on the Cahir to
Cashel road in the early hours. All the occupants were in their late teens or
early twenties. The six injured, three men and three women, were taken to Our
Lady's Hospital in Cashel where their condition is said to be stable. Road
conditions in the area at the time of the accident were said to be poor because
of low-lying fog.
