"The young man killed in yesterday's crash on the Gort to Crusheen road has been named locally as 22 year-old John Lynch, from Kiltormer Ballinasloe.
The two car collision occurred near the turn-off to Shanaglish on the N18 shortly after 7am yesterday.
John Lynch was the driver of one car while the driver of the second car was taken to University Hospital Galway, with non-life threatening injuries."
