Just beyond the town limits, at the start of a right-hand bend, where a road goes to the right for Ballyroad. This memorial is only a short distance on the Dublin side of the Abbeyleix 1 memorial.

This cast-iron cross is a mile on the Cork side of the Abbeyleix traffic lights. It is in front of a heavily-wooded part of the roadside but it is not immediately spotted because it is only about 2 feet high. Look on the right hand side of the road.

From Cork: As you approach Abbeyleix, be on the lookout as soon as you see the traffic-calming signs in the distance. Look on the left-hand side of the road.
